USD Athletics will hold activities on Feb. 11 at the USD women's basketball game vs. Pepperdine.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego Athletic Department will be celebrating National Girls & Women in Sports Day as well as the 40th Anniversary of Title IX at the women's basketball game against Pepperdine on February 11 at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
From 6-7pm on Eagan Plaza, USD Athletics will host the Girl Scouts of San Diego County and other local kids to engage in athletics activities with opportunities to win prizes and enjoy pizza. As part of this event, USD coaches and student athletes will offer sport instruction and speak to the kids about participating in sports and sportsmanship.
USD's Women's Center will provide important information and facts about Title IX and its history inside the Jenny Craig Pavilion. The Girl Scouts and fans will participate in competitions on the court throughout the game, learn self-defense from a licensed instructor at half-time, and receive autographs of the Women's Basketball team after the game.
Finally, as part of the West Coast Conference Thanks Title IX initiative, a video featuring President Mary Lyons will be aired. Be sure to get your tickets today!
