Theatre Arts professor Jacob Bruce guides members of SAAC through an improv lesson
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) was afforded a unique opportunity at their bi-weekly meeting on Monday, March 12th as SAAC members participated in a leadership and professional development activity with Professor Jacob Bruce from the College of Arts and Science.

Bruce, a professor in Theatre Arts, gave the student-athletes a lesson on the act of "improv" and how the ideas and strategies of improv go hand in hand with that of our athletes and teamwork. Torero student-athletes were taught principles that in improv and in their sport they must support one another while constantly building towards their goals. After Professor Bruce introduced the art of Improv the student-athletes were able to put the skills to work and participated in numerous improv activities amongst one another.

Professor Bruce is just one of many speakers that have been asked to join in on the bi-weekly SAAC meetings in an effort to provide useful leadership and professional development techniques. SAAC meets every other Monday in the Warren Room of the Jenny Craig Pavilion at 7 pm.
