The connection between Linda Vista and the University of San Diego is apparent with multiple signs saying "Welcome to Linda Vista, Home of the University of San Diego" at entrances to the community. It serves as a symbol of respect for the university, but it is reminds students, faculty and administrators of our responsibility to our home we call Linda Vista.

The 26th Annual Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair & Parade, held annually on the 6900 block of Linda Vista road, (between Comstock and Ulric Streets) is intended to promote cultural awareness and understanding within the City of San Diego. Its numerous cultural exhibits, film festival, varied ethnic food offerings and delightful artistic performances are eagerly anticipated by over 15,000 residents and visitors to San Diego.

This year, USD was represented by over 50 student-athletes from men's and women's soccer, women's tennis and the football team. It was our opportunity to support and show appreciation for our community as well as connect with the everyday men, women and families of Linda Vista. The lasting impression was that each and every opportunity to engage in public service - like our students - is filled with potential that must be pursued and attained. Keep your eye on us. Our student- athletes will continue to produce outstanding records of academic achievement, organizational leadership, and community service.
