Assistant Athletic Trainer

Tyler Arford enters his first year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of San Diego. Tyler will be responsible for taking care of the men's soccer, men's rowing and women's tennis teams.

Prior to arriving at USD Tyler graduated from San Jose State University with a Master's degree in Kinesiology: Athletic Training, where he did his research on athlete's perceptions and knowledge of concussions. While in the bay area he spent two years as a Graduate Assistant at Menlo College. His responsibilities there, included men's soccer, women's soccer, men's wrestling, women's wrestling, and baseball. He also worked summer camps at both Menlo College and Stanford University.

Prior to arriving at Menlo, Tyler graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. At SDSU he worked with men's basketball, women's basketball, football, and women's tennis. Tyler also worked as a student athletic trainer at the University of San Diego with men's soccer and baseball.

A native of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Tyler currently resides in Pacific Beach, California.
