Torero Spirit Team Goes To Nationals!

April 2, 2008

For the first time in school history, the Torero Spirit Team competed in the USA Collegiate Dance & Cheer Nationals, held in Las Vegas. The team competed against 120 other dance teams in hip hop and jazz, going up against well known programs such as UNLV, Cal State Fullerton, University of Kentucky, and USC, to name a few. The level of talent and performance at the competition was a welcome challenge and inspiration to the team. With a 7th place finish, the women were more than pleased with their debut appearance, and plan to attend nationals again next year. Excited to be taking on this new level of performance and competition, the Torero Spirit Team continues to raise the bar for a very successful USD Athletic dance and cheer program.
