SOPHOMORE (2013): Played in 60 games with 59 starts as both an infielder and DH for the Toreros... helped lead the team to the WCC Tournament championship, and into the NCAA Regionals...hit .265 with 56 hits, eight doubles, four home runs and 24 RBI...recorded 14 multi-hit games...went 3-for-5 with a double in a win against BYU (3/16)...went 3-for-5 with an RBI against BYU (5/24)...went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI against Stony Brook (3/3)...went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI against Portland (5/11)...went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI against Coastal Carolina (2/28)...was named a Cape Cod All-Star this past summer as an outfielder for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox.
FRESHMAN (2012): Daniel exploded onto the scene his rookie season and was named a Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger, NCBWA, and Baseball America... He was also named to the WCC All-Freshman team and was an All-Conference selection... Made 56 starts posting a .339 batting average... Led the team with 18 doubles and was second on the team with 45 RBI and 112 total bases... Posted a .487 slugging percentage and a .394 on-base percentage... Went 5-for-5 against Columbia on March 16, 2012 with two RBI and two runs... Went 4-for-6 against Lipscomb with one home run, one run, and a career-high five RBI.
High School: Played baseball at Rancho Bernardo High School for coach Sam Black...HIs junior year the team won CIF...his batting average was .488, where he hit 13 homeruns, had 38 RBI and stole 14 bases...he was the Palomar Player of the Year, he was named first-team All-League, All-State, and All-CIF...his senior year the team won league and CIF...his batting average was .368...he had 10 homeruns, 39 RBI and 15 stolen bases...he was named first-team All-League and All-CIF ...he also lettered in basketball.
