SOPHOMORE (2016): Played at the College of the Canyons... hit .322 with 49 hits, 47 runs scored, 13 doubles, one triple, five home runs, 26 RBI and seven stolen bases.... was named second-team All-WSC and WSC Gold Glove.
FRESHMAN (2015): Played at Long Beach State, appearing in 17 games with a pair of starts.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Valencia High School...was a three year varsity letterman...was an All-Foothill League first-team, All-Santa Clarita Valley second-team and All-Santa Clarita Valley/San Fernando Valley second-team selection as a junior....hit .341 as a junior with a pair of home runs and 13 RBI...started in centerfield as a senior and helped his team reach the second round of the CIF-SS playoffs for the first time since 2009.
PERSONAL: Christopher Mark McCready was born on March 7, 1996 in Valencia, Calif...he is the son of Mark and Susan McCready...was also recruited by UC Santa Barbara, St. John's University, Nevada, Cal State Northridge and UC Irvine...chose to attend USD because he wanted to be a part of an amazing program, that not only knows how to win, but also who can help take their players to the next level; professional baseball...notes that he loves to eat Chipotle, and watch the Office.
