JUNIOR (2015): Made seven appearances with five starts…posted a 0-0 record with a 5.76 ERA in 25.0 innings of work…recorded 26 strikeouts, and only issued 10 walks…recorded eight strikeouts, while allowing one run on five hits in 6.2 innings of work against Morehead State (2/14/15)…recorded six strikeouts against Mississippi State (3/8/15).

SOPHOMORE (2014):Made 18 appearances while playing at Palomar College...posted a 2-1 record, with a 2.78 ERA in 35.2 innings of work...recorded 44 strikeouts, while only issuing six walks...was drafted in the 19th round of the 2014 MLB draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

FRESHMAN (2013): Played at Saint Mary's College, where he led the Gaels with 22 appearances, making two starts... tossed 56.1 innings, allowing 42 earned runs... walked 20 and struck out 47... 47 strikeouts was tops among relief pitchers... did not give up an earned run in eight of his appearances... earned first collegiate win out of the bullpen against Chicago State... also won a game against Portland... hurled three shutout innings against Santa Clara and Pepperdine... struck out a career-high seven hitters twice, against Georgetown and Gonzaga.

HIGH SCHOOL: Cornish finished his senior season at Arcadia High School with a 6-4 record and one save while posting a 2.32 ERA. He threw 57.1 innings, which included three complete games, gave up 37 hits and struck out 85 while only allowing 17 walks. He led all of Arizona Division II in strikeouts, was named the Most Valuable Pitcher of the Perfect Game Memorial Day Tournament, and was named to the Arizona High School Division II Section III 2nd Team.

PERSONAL: Gary Thomas Cornish was born on January 21, 1994 in Phoenix, Ariz....he is the son of Charles & Katherine Cornish...was also recruited by Arizona, USC, San Diego State, Oklahoma, UC Riverside...notes he is an avid surfer even though he grew up in Arizona.
