High School: Prepped at Buena High School...his sophomore year he threw the fastest game in Ventura County...his senior year he threw two no-hitters and was the MVP pitcher, made first-team All-County and made the All Star team...he also lettered in football and was named an All-County kicker.
Personal: Drew Christopher Smith was born on November 11, 1992...he is the son of Jay Jacobs...he was also recruited by Loyola Marymount, Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara...he chose to attend USD because of the great baseball program and because he wanted to be a part of the winning tradition...he can kick a 57 yard field goal and was also recruited to play football by San Diego State, Boise State and USC.
