Bryant Sets Home Run Record, and USD Downs SCU 7-4

Kris Bryant broke the school record for single-season home runs with his 19th of the season.


USD Rallies Past Broncos, 7-4

Kris Bryant tied the USD single-season home run record with his solo shot in the sixth inning.

JUNIOR (2012): Coming off his redshirt year, appeared in 24 games and started in 12 in the OF... Hit .333 with 11 RBI and eight runs... Went 2-for-4 against Saint Mary's on April 21, 2012 with a triple, two RBI, and two runs.

(2011): Redshirted at USD.

COLLEGE: Played two seasons at Skyline a sophomore he led the team in hitting with a .392 batting average, had a team-leading 60 hits, with 19 doubles, four triples, seven home runs, 30 RBI and 14 stolen bases.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball at Mills High School...was named first-team All-Peninsula Bay Division as a senior, as well as tabbed the Co-Conference Player of the a junior he was also named first-team All-Peninsula League.

PERSONAL: Lucas Paul Hagberg was born on November 18, 1988 in Daly City, Calif....he is the son of Janet and Robert Hagberg...chose to attend USD because of the baseball program and the great academic reputation of USD...notes that he wants to go on a safari at some point in his life.
