RS FRESHMAN (2017: Played in 53 out of 54 games in 2017... Hit .250 overall with 12 RBI... His 13 sacrifice hits were 3rd in the WCC... His .301 average in conference play was fifth highest on the team... Went 3-for-4 with a home run against Pepperdine (5/20).

FRESHMAN (2016): Redshirted at USD.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Marin Catholic High School...helped lead his team to back-to-back MCAL championships as a junior and senior... finished his career with a .327 bating average... as a senior, he hit .301 with 28 runs, 10 doubles, five triples, and was a perfect 14-for-14 in stolen bases... as a junior, he hit .408 with 35 runs, 42 hits, eight doubles and was 10-for-11 on stolen base attempts en rout to helping lead his team to the NCS championship...a s a sophomore, he hit .270... also lettered in football... while with the football team, he helped lead the squad to a state title as a junior, and to the NCS title as a junior and senior.

PERSONAL: Paul Robert Kunst was born on August 5, 1997 in Novato, Calif....he is the son of Tom and Anriette Kunst... chose to attend USD because of the strength of the business school, and felt that on his visit to campus, it was full of school spirit... noted he played baseball in Colombia for one week.
