San Diego (32-21) continues to establish its case for an at-large berth into the NCAA Regionals after a 6-3 road victory over No. 21 UC Irvine and a convincing 7-4 win over Pac-10 member California. San Diego has totaled 32 wins against one of the nation's toughest schedules, and last Tuesday's triumph over Irvine (31-14-1) was the fourth for USD against an opponent currently ranked in the national polls. The Toreros have been an NCAA Regional team in each of the last two seasons, claiming a pair of postseason wins over New Mexico State in 2002 and Arizona in 2003.
