WCC All-Academic Team

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Starting pitcher PJ Conlon was named to the WCC All-Academic team, the conference office announced Friday afternoon.

The sophomore hurler from Placentia, Calif. holds a 3.23 cumulative GPA. Conlon went 7-2 in 14 games with a 4.35 ERA. He tied Louie Lechich with a team-high 13 starts and struck out 60 batters in 78.2 innings pitched.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
