2013-14 at USD: Selected to All-WCC First Team... Also named to NABC 2013-14 Honors Court and the WCC All-Academic Team...Named Capital One District VIII All-Academic... WCC Player of the Week (Jan. 7, 2014)... San Diego Hall of Champions Star of the Month (Nov., 2013)... Team-leading 16.6 ppg average... Reached double-digit scoring in 30 games with eight games scoring 21 or more... Season-high 28 points at LMU (12-30-13)... Opened season with 27 in win over South Dakota State... Tallied 26 points twice (at Pepperdine, at Gonzaga)... In win at Pacific (2-15-14) was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line... Bombed in 6 three-pointers in two games (South Dakota State, at LMU).
2012-13 at USD: Named All-WCC honorable mention... Twice named a WCC player of the week (Nov. 19 and Dec. 10)... Recognized as a San Diego Hall of Champions Star of the Month (January, 2013)... Started all 34 games and for second straight season led Toreros in scoring with his 15.0 points per game average (9th in WCC)... Reached double-digit scoring in 26 games with a season-high 27 points against Siena (11-18-12)... Also topped 20 points against Montana (22, 11-24-12), Tulane (23, 12-8-12), Morgan State (24, 12-29-2), Gonzaga (21,2-2-13) and BYU (25, 3-8-13)... Shot 43.4% from the field (172-396), 37.7% from three-point range (80-212) and a WCC best 88.8% from the free throw line (87-98)... Chipped in with an improved 3.1 rebounds per game average (career-best 8 boards vs. Santa Clara, 2-14-13).
2011-12 at USD: Started in all but one of the 31 games for the Toreros as a freshman...Named to All-WCC Freshman Team and All WCC-Honorable Mention team...led the Toreros in scoring (13.7 ppg) and minutes (29.5 mpg)...ranked first in the WCC in the three-pointers made per game (2.4) and was fifth in three-point accuracy (.422)... He reached double figure scoring in 20 games including eight games of 22 or more points. Scored a career-high 30 points (6-of-9 3PT) in WCC Tournament win over Pepperdine in Las Vegas...Scored 26 points twice (Maine, at Santa Clara), and also set a new USD Division I scoring mark for freshmen with his 426 points...Named San Diego Hall of Champions Star of the Month for November and February...All-Tournament team for the Hoops for Hope Classic in New Orleans over Thanksgiving.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Rancho Buena Vista HS in nearby Vista, CA where he played for Coach Terry Miller... Senior year averaged 32.8 points per game, 7.2 rebounds and 2.4 steals in helping team to a 26-4 record... Named First Team All-State Division I... First Team All-CIF San Diego... 2010-11 Avocado West League Player of the Year... Cal-Hi Sports Athlete of the Week... Spent his junior season at Blue Valley West HS in Overland Park, Kansas... Averaged 17.0 points per game junior season earning All-State Kansas honorable mention and First Team All-East Kansas honors... Spent sophomore season at Rancho Buena Vista where he earned 2nd Team All-Palomar recognition.
PERSONAL: Born on November 4, 1992 in Denver, CO... Parents are Donnie and Jackie Dee of Vista, CA... Dad played for the NFL's Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts from 1988-90... Mom was a cross country runner at the University of Tulsa, and his sister, Jenny, is a starter on the RBV girls basketball team... His grandfather Don Dee was on the 1968 U.S. Men's Olympic basketball team... Chose USD for Torero coaching staff, basketball program and location, as well as strong Business School... Also recruited by Portland State, Montana State, Saint Mary's, Santa Clara and UC San Diego.
