NOTEWORTHY: Enters final year at USD where he will finish as one of the program's all-time leaders in both scoring and rebounding... Pomare enters senior year with 1,296 points (7th all-time) and 680 rebounds (3rd among Div. I players).

2007-08 AT USD: Appeared in all 36 games with 34 starts... Ranked second on team in scoring (14.1) and first in rebounding (7.4) and field goal percentage (.556)... Strong showing in NCAA Tournament games with 22 points in win over Connecticut and 20 points-9 rebounds in loss to Western Kentucky... For season tallied 27 games in double digit scoring, and 11 games in double digit rebounding... Reached 8 games with 20 or more points scoring, including a career-best 25 points against Stephen F. Austin... Totaled 8 double-double performances including an 18 point/16 rebound outing against CSU-Bakersfield... Twice was tabbed a WCC Player of the Week.

2006-07 AT USD: Appeared in all 32 games with 19 starts while earning All-WCC First Team honors... Averaged 14.9 points per game and a team-best 8.3 rebounds while converting 53.8% of his shots from the floor (182x338) and 73.4% of his free throws (113x154)... Scored in double digits in 29 contests including a string of 17 straight games (Dec. 9, 2006 to Feb. 12, 2007)... Totaled a team-best 8 double-doubles in scoring & rebounding... Personal-best 22 points in back-to-back double-double contests against UC Riverside (Jan. 10, 2007; 13 boards) and Pepperdine (Jan. 13, 2007; 15 boards)... Was tabbed the WCC Player of the Week for his efforts.

2005-06 AT USD: Appeared in all 30 games with 14 starts... Led the WCC in field goal percentage (.633)... Named to WCC All-Freshman Team... Averaged 10.4 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting a league-best 63.3% from the field... Also chipped in with a team-best 32 blocked shots... Totaled a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards in his collegiate debut, a road win at Campbell... Posted a double-double (11 points, 14 rebounds) in home win over New Mexico... Scored in double figures 18 times with a season-high 21 points against UC Riverside... Added 20 points and 9 rebounds in road win at Eastern Washington.

2004-05 AT USD: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at El Camino HS in nearby Oceanside ... Senior season averaged 19.1 ppg and 14.0 rpg ... Averaged 24.0 ppg and 15 rpg in two Southern California Regional playoff games in 2004... Was named 2nd Team All-State, First Team All-San Diego U-T and All-CIF ... Was a Division I CIF Champion San Diego County Scholarship Award recipient ... First Team Breitbard - San Diego Hall of Champions ... Went for 29 points and 16 rebounds in 78-61 win over Marina in 1st Round of CIF State Basketball Championships SoCal Regional ... Junior year was First Team All-State for 31-3 ball club ... Won CIF Div. I Championship and lost in State 2nd round ... He averaged 14.0 ppg and scored in double digits in 23 of 33 games he played in.

PERSONAL: Born on April 5, 1986 in Oceanside, CA ... parents are Gail and Leo Pomare of Oceanside ... also recruited by Boise State, Portland and Cal State Fullerton.
