Brice Vounang led Toreros with 21 points

The USD Toreros dropped their exhibition contest to visiting Cal Poly this evening by the score of 73-66. San Diego was paced by seniors Brice Vounang (21 points, 10 rebounds) and Brandon Gay (18 points, 10 rebounds). The Toreros outrebounded the Broncos, 38-30, but struggled with their shooting from the floor - 42.6% overall (26-61) and 16.7% from beyond the arc (2-12). This is USD's lone tuneup before regular-season play begins next Tuesday, Nov. 16th, at No. 10 Arizona in the Preseason NIT.
Cal Poly was paced by senior forward Jeff Bonds (28 points, 8 rebounds) and forward David Sybesma (16 points). Cal Poly shot 50.9% from the field (29-57) and converted 84.6% of their charity shots (11-13). Cal Poly held a slim 34-32 halftime advantage
