Brian Fish Leaves USD
Aug. 6, 2004
USD Associate Head Coach Brian Fish has resigned his position with the USD men's basketball staff and will be taking a coaching position with Creighton. Fish, who was with the Toreros the past two years, was the program's head recruiting coordinator and prior to last season was elevated to Associate Head Coach under Brad Holland. Coach Holland expects to make an announcement in the near future regarding the staff opening.
During his first season with the Toreros he helped the program to an overall record of 18-12. That season the Toreros upset Gonzaga in the championship game of the WCC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in sixteen seasons. He came to USD after spending six seasons on Billy Tubbs' staff at TCU. He returns to Creighton where he was an assistant coach there between 1994-96.
