Toreros Qualify for Nationals

USD took home one goal and two silvers to qualify for the nationals.


Varsity 8 Takes Home Third Place in Grand Finale at Crew Classic

The varsity 8 boat placed third in the prestegious Cal Cup grand finale this afternoon.


Toreros Have Strong Showing in Day One of Crew Classic

The V8 boat won its heat with a time of 6:20.443.

USD will send three boats into competition on Saturday.



USD took home gold medals at the City Championships this past week.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Moorestown High School...was a four-year member of the men's rowing a senior, he was invited to the junior men's National Team Schulling Selection his senior year he finished sixth at the World Indoor Rowing Championships (CRASH-Bs) in the junior men's lightweight a junior, he placed fifth at the US Rowing Youth National Championships in the men's lightweight 4+ event...he also finished third in the Stotesbury Cup Regatta in the men's lightweight 8+ event as a his sophomore season, he placed first at the Stotesbury Cup Regatta in the men's JV 4+ a freshman, he placed third at the Garden State Scholastic Championship in the Freshman 8+ event.

PERSONAL: Will Roman was born on April 26, 1995 in Bensalem, Pennsylvania...he is the son of Joe and Parry Roman...chose to attend USD because of the strong academic reputation, the San Diego weather, and because of the rowing program...notes he is an Eagle Scout.
