SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego men's rowing team concluded their racing season in stylish fashion at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, PA, with the USD novice men collecting silver medals.

The program moved into new competitive territory this past weekend in Philadelphia, racing to a second place and eighth place finish in the novice and varsity eights respectively. While fast course conditions in preliminary racing made initial times irrelevant, a fair course in the finals on Saturday saw both teams also reset the school records in both events.

"Both of these teams raced incredibly well in some really tough conditions," said head coach Brooks Dagman. "The V8 had to fight back from some bad luck in the preliminary racing and did so brilliantly."
