SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego men's rowing team had a strong performance in the final day of the Stanford Regional this past Sunday, as the Varsity 8 placed first.
The varsity men's eights stepped up to claim first place against Santa Clara in Sunday at Stanford. Having come off of a couple close losses, the team adjusted their racing plan and executed perfectly on Sunday.
"Santa Clara rowed really well, but we were a bit more efficient," stated head coach Brooks Dagman. "Our lineups have had time to settle and find some rhythm.
Things are looking up as the team heads into the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Championships, held on April 28th and 29th in Sacramento.
