SAN DIEGO, Calif. - With two eights and two fours attending the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Championships, held at Lake Natoma on April 27th and 28th, the University of San Diego men's rowing team is looking stronger than ever. There has been quite a bit of shifting within the lineups since the Crew Classic.

A gold or silver medal performance in the men's varsity eight race on Sunday will secure an automatic qualifying spot for the National Championships in late May.

"We have been fairly close to both of our primary competition from UCSD and Gonzaga," said head coach Brooks Dagman. "While Gonzaga, with an eight comprised mostly of seniors, is the favorite, I think that it is going to be a real battle between us and UCSD. "
