BOSTON, Mass. - Your University of San Diego Men's Crew landed in Boston in the wee hours of Friday morning for the 2012 Head of the Charles River in Boston. This is an exciting opportunity for the Toreros as the only team from the West Coast Conference to race in this prestigious regatta. They race in event 27 the Collegiate 4 on Saturday October 20th at about 3:30PM.

The boat lineup is Caroline Barrett, John Bacic, Henri Hicks, Ryan Sandy, Will Bastien.

The team is keen to get a jump on racing this year. Following the Head of the Charles, the squad will race at the Head of the American in Sacramento as well as at the Newport Autumn Rowing Festival in Newport Beach.

The 2012 season for the Toreros was both groundbreaking and frustrating, having achieved a program best, placing (2nd) at the WIRA qualifying regatta, the team was then disallowed from competing at the IRA National Championships for racing with a Freshman in its Varsity lineup. That rule is no longer in place and in this new season, your USD Mens Crew is looking to be extremely competitive.
