USD had a good showing in the fall racing season.
Dec. 17, 2010
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - With the Christmas Sprints in the rear view mirror, the fall racing recap shows some real strength for a young varsity squad. The University of San Diego decided to include its recruited freshman with the returning squad, and they really proved themselves to be invaluable assets to the team.
USD was also lucky enough to have several really solid lightweight rowers join the squad. These guys have helped several of our younger heavyweights really learn how to apply themselves on the water. "With all of this, along with a new, exclusively afternoon, weekday training schedule, have made this one of the most productive and enjoyable fall training cycles ever," stated head coach Brooks Dagman.
As far as results are concerned, the Toreros won more set of medals this fall than ever. The V8 placed in front of both Loyola Marymount and Santa Clara within the WCC and again seems poised to be one of the fastest eights in the southwestern US.
