San Diego, Calif. - USD head football coach Dale Lindsey and his coaching staff are pleased to announce their 2015 recruiting class. The 30 incoming freshman recruits will join up with the rest of the Torero returners when the team reports for camp on August 11th. Three of the recruits are from San Diego County, and a total of nineteen student-athletes hail from the state of California.

    (San Diego, Calif.) - Senior wide receiver Reggie Bell (Union City, Calif.) recently signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Washington Redskins. Bell turned in an outstanding career with the Toreros as he leaves the program with 172 career receptions for 2,729 yards and 24 touchdowns.

    On Saturday, April 25th, former USD football standout Josh Johnson will be inducted into the Chet and Marguerite Pagni Family Athletic Hall of Fame at the annual Alumni Honors event being held at the Shiley Theatre. Johnson will be one of ten USD alumni being recognized that evening, and he also becomes the thirtieth member of USD's Hall of Fame.

    The USD Toreros will open up the 2015 campaign against the San Diego State Aztecs, the two schools announced today. The game will take place on Saturday, Sept. 5th, at Qualcomm Stadium. It is the season opener for both programs. It will be just the second meeting between USD and the Aztecs, and the first contest since the 1961 campaign when SDSU won on November 18th by the score of 42-12.
