The USD Football team opened up their season with a 23-17 win over Western New Mexico

USD: Fourth year Torero will again start on offense at wide receiver... In 2015 was named All-PFL Second Team for offense, and a PFL Player of the Week (Nov. 22)... Named USD's Offensive MVP... Ranked second on the team in receptions with 44 and totaled a team-best 782 receiving yards (17.8 yards per catch average)... He found the end zone 8 times while totaling two touchdown receptions in three contests (WNMU, Valparaiso, Butler)... He totaled three games of 100+ yards receiving - WNMU (115), Stetson (177) and Butler (139)... He totaled 6 receptions in three contests - Drake, Stetson and Butler... Also returned seven kickoffs for 150 yards (21.4 yards per return average)... In 2014 appeared in 11 contests at defensive back... Contributed 11 tackles (5 solo) with three stops coming against Princeton... In 2013 appeared in all 11 games while chipping in with 12 tackles (9 solo)... Personal-best 3 solo stops in home win over Western New Mexico... Two-time PFL Honor Roll (2014, 2013).

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Rancho Bernardo High School where he played for Coach Tristan McCoy... Senior year was team captain, team MVP, 1st Team All-League, and Special Teams player of the year... Also lettered in Track & Field for one year where he ranked 4th in San Diego in the 300 meter hurdles.

PERSONAL: Born on August 22, 1995 in San Diego, California... Son of Erika and Brian Riley... Chose USD because it is everything you want in a school... Also recruited by Montana, Azusa Pacific, Chapman and Redlands... Hopes to attend Law School following graduation from USD.
