Eighteen Toreros Earn All-PFL Recognition

Hodges, Petersen and Riley were unanimous selections by PFL coaches

USD: Returns to start at center with the offensive line unit... Was named to the 2017 Preseason All-PFL Team... In 2016 started all 12 games for the 10-2 Toreros and earned All-PFL Second Team honors... Did not play in 2015... In 2014 appeared in four contests with two starts... Named to 2014 PFL Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Charlotte Catholic HS where he played under coach Jim Oddo... Three-time All-Conference performer... Senior year team went 11-3 and reached state semifinals; junior year team finished 13-2 and were runner-up at the State Championship; and sophomore campaign team went 14-1 and were State semifinalist... Also lettered in Track & Field (shotput) and Wrestling.

PERSONAL: Born on September 12, 1995 in San Diego, California... Parents are Marty and Jeanne Hurney of Charlotte, North Carolina... Chose USD for beautiful campus, great academics and strong football program... Also recruited by Princeton, ECU, Richmond and Hampden-Sydney... Enjoys working with younger athletes to help them better their skill set and performance, playing video games and hanging out with friends.
