Toreros Fall to No. 11 Cal Poly in Season-Opener, 38-16

Mason Mills threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns.

USD: Will compete in his final season with the Toreros at the tight end position... Last season appeared in team's first four games before suffering a season-ending knee injury... Twice caught two balls (Cal Poly & Harvard)... Found the endzone in the season-opener at Cal Poly... In 2012 saw action in all 11 games... Caught three balls for 23 yards (7.7 average).

COLLEGE: Played two years at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA where he helped the Vikings to a Golden Gate Conference Championship.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended College Park High School in Pleasant Hill, CA where he played for Coach Bill Kepler... During his senior season he had 368 receiving yards with one touchdown while being named to the Diablo Valley League First Team as a defensive lineman... Lettered in baseball for one season.

PERSONAL: Born September 18, 1992 in Martinez, CA... Son of Katie Guillaume... Chose USD because of its beautiful campus, great academics, and its location... Was also recruited by Louisiana Tech, the University of Redlands, and Menlo College.

MAJOR: Sociology.

MINOR: Business Administration.
