USD: Returns for his third season as the team's punter, along with back-up duties at place-kicker... In 2014 earned All-PFL honorable mention honors and was named Second Team PFL All-Academic... Set a USD single season record with 75 punts... Averaged 37.7 yard per punt with a long of 56 yards (at Marist); six punts of 50 or more yards; and 13 punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line... In 2013 was selected All-PFL Second Team and the team's Kevin Briscoe Special Teams Player of the Year... Selected to PFL Honor Roll... Led all PFL punters with his 43.6 yards per punt average (2nd best all-time for USD single season)... His 80-yard punt against Mercer ranks 2nd all-time at USD and is the program's top mark since joining the PFL back in 1993... For the season he boomed 39 punts for 1,699 yards with 8 going for 50+ yards and 14 landing inside of the opponent's 20-yard line... Was named the PFL Special Teams Player of the Week (Oct. 27) after he averaged 46.0 yards on four punts in a 42-14 win over Butler.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Diamond Bar High School... Coached by Ryan Maine... Was named to the Hacienda League All-Academic Team his senior year... Averaged 36 yards per punt, and recorded a 40 yard long field goal in his senior year while also making seven PAT's.
PERSONAL: Born October 14, 1994 in Pomona, California... Parents are Marisol and Orrin Belden of Diamond Bar, California... Chose to attend USD because of its academics, and highly competitive football program... Enjoys watching and playing sports, going to the beach, and weight lifting... Also involved in Hope, a foundation that helps Latin American children receive an education.
