JT Rogan Honored By SD Hall of Champions

Nov. 10, 2005

USD freshman running back JT Rogan (Coronado, Calif.) was honored by the San Diego Hall of Champions as an Amateur Star of the Month for October. Rogan led USD to a 5-0 record in the month of October, including four Pioneer Football League wins to help capture USD's first-ever North Division title. Rogan rushed for 610 yards and seven touchdowns for a 122.0 yards per game. He also caught 17 passes for 190 yards and three more TDs. In a 48-24 win over then No. 1-ranked Dayton, he rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns. Following the win USD claimed the No. 1 ranking for Mid-Major programs. In a solid win over Drake one week later, he finished with 176 yards rushing and nine receptions for 92 yards.

Rogan follows sophomore quarterback Josh Johnson (Oakland, Calif.) who received the same honor for the month of September. USD (9-1) closes out its regular-season schedule this Saturday, Nov. 12th, with a 1 p.m. contest against Marist College. On Nov. 19th, the Toreros will host Morehead State in the 2005 PFL Championship game that is set to kickoff at 4:00 pm. For tickets, call the USD Athletic ticket office at (619) 260-7550.
