SAN DIEGO -- The USD football team gathered on campus to watch the NCAA Division I FCS Playoff Selection Show this morning inside the Jenny Craig Pavilion. The Toreros, who are making their third playoff appearance in four years, found out they will travel to Flagstaff, Arizona to take on the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks. Game time is 5:00 p.m. (PST) at J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome (10,000 capacity) and the contest will air on ESPN3.
"Well, the good news is we don't have to go too far which is a nice thing for a change," said head coach Dale Lindsey. "We have to get ourselves ready. We can't worry about Northern Arizona or the game. We have to be prepared to play. We didn't play as well yesterday as we have in the previous ten games and we need to get back to that level. This will be a Friday trip most likely so we'll get a little more down time and allow our players to get rested. So it's a good thing."
