• Toreros rally for 20-16 win over Marist


    (Poughkeepsie, NY) - Sophomore quarterback Keith Williams found a wide open Reggie Bell down field with just five seconds left for a 36-yard touchdown score to propel the Toreros to a 20-16 comeback victory. USD was facing a 4th and 6 with no timeouts left and Williams rolled left and somehow Bell broke free down field close to the end zone.

  • Troy McClelland Named Semi-finalist for...


    Senior defensive back Troy McClelland was selected as a semi-finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, presented by Fidelity Investments. The award recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation, and up to 16 of the candidates will be named recipients of a prestigious NFF National Scholar-Athlete Award, also presented by Fidelity Investments. Launched in 1959, the NFF National Scholar-Athlete program awards $18,000 scholarships that can be used for the honorees' postgraduate educations. This year's recipients will be announced Oct. 30, and one will be declared the winner of the Campbell Trophy Dec. 9 at the 57th NFF Annual Awards Dinner.

  • Toreros continue PFL play at Marist on Saturday


    The USD Toreros (2-1; 0-1 PFL), under the direction of second year head coach Dale Lindsey, continue PFL play with a road game at Marist College (0-4; 0-1 PFL) this Saturday, September 27th. Kickoff is slated for 10:00 a.m. (Pacific) at Tenney Stadium (5,000 seats).
