NOTABLE: Senior Grant Forrest has recently been selected to represent Scotland in the World Amateur Team Championship... The championship will be held in Karuizawa, Japan on September 9-14, 2014 at Karuizawa East Golf Club... The 72-hole stroke play event is comprised of three player teams from various countries competing for the prestigious 26th Eisenhower Trophy... Grant is currently ranked 18th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and the event is comprised of some the world's best amateur golfers... Forrest competed this past June in the prestigious Palmer Cup for the Europe Team... Won two singles matches to help Europe defeat the USA 18.5 to 11.5... Won the prestigious St. Andrews Links trophy over the summer... Named the 2014 West Coast Conference Golfer of the Year and to the All-WCC First Team for third straight year... Selected honorable mention for the 2014 PING All-America Division I Teams by the GCAA... Selected a 2014 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for Divisions I... Competed in 2013 British Open at Muirfield after he won the final local qualifying round in Dunbar, Scotland with an 8-under total of 132 (67-65). Won the impressive Scottish Amateur Championship at Royla Dornoch in the 2012 summer. He secured his third national title with a strong 9&7 triumph in the 36-hole final against Richard Docherty in the 85th staging of the Scottish Amateur Championship. It was the biggest win in the final since Colin Montomerie's victory at Nairin 25 years ago. After a superb six days on the glorious Dornoch Firth, Forrest came out on top from a starting field of 256, representing more than 130 clubs, and triumphed over eight matches spanning nine rounds. Following his success in the Scottish Under-16s in 2009 and the Scottish Boys a year later, he has achieved a notable hat-trick.

USD: Named WCC Golfer of the Year... Won three tournaments during his junior campaign - Saint Mary's Invitational (-7, 209), The Farms Collegiate (-6, 210) and Redhawk Invitational (200, -11)... Fired rounds of 63 and 65 on Chambers Bay course (site of 2015 U.S. Open) in winning the Redhawk Invitational... Played in all 12 regular season tournaments (71.0 for 36 rounds), and advanced to the San Antonio NCAA Regional (t-23rd, 74-71-77)... Won the 2013 WCC Championship individual title with a 6-under par 210 (74-67-69) played at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Washington... Named First Team All-WCC for second straight year... Named to 2013 WCC All-Academic Squad (3.29 GPA)... Second year player competed in all twelve tournaments and finished with a team-best scoring average of 72.57 (35 rounds)... Finished 4th (100 golfers) at the ASU Thunderbird (206; 68-68-70)... Two times has finished runner-up (Bill Cullum Invitational & San Diego Intercollegiate Classic)... He helped the Toreros to the team title at the Bill Cullum with his 9-under total of 207 (69-67-71)... At the San Diego Classic, he finished just two strokes out of medalist honors with his 5-under par 211 (70-68-73)... Last season as a freshman competed in all 13 tournaments and finished second on the team with his 72.28 scoring average... Named the WCC Freshman of the Year... Finished tied for 4th at WCC Championships at 5-under par 211 (70-69-72)... USD placed 9th at the NCAA Southwestern Regional at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club and Forrest was the team's top finisher at 2-over par 218 (72-76-70)... He lost in a playoff for a chance to advance the NCAA Individual Championships... Tied for 17th at Wyoming Cowboy Classic at 208 (70-69-69)... Tied for 12th at North Ranch (219; 69-73-77)... Tied for 14th at San Diego Intercollegiate (221; 75-73-73)... Placed 8th at Kauai Collegiate Invite (215; 74-72-69)... Season-low round of 66 in third round of Wolf Pack Classic at Edgewood Golf Club in Stateline, NV where he tied for 15th at 223 (80-77-66)... Season-best finish (T-5th at 211; 73,69,69) at Gene Miranda Falcon Invite in Colorado Springs Colorado at the Eisenhower Blue Golf Club... His 5-under par total of 211 was just two strokes off the winning score... Top-10 finish (t-9th at 213; 71-69-73) at Mark Simpson Colorado Invite at Colorado National GC in Erie, CO.

PERSONAL: Born on June 19, 1993 in Edinburgh, Scotland... His mother Audrey, and late father, Graeme, are from North Berwick, East Lothian, Scotland... Playing out of Craigielaw Golf Club, was crowned the 2010 Scottish Boys Golf Champion after he beat fellow-Scottish Boys Internationalist Ian Redford of the New Club St. Andrews by 3&2 in the 36 holes final at West Kilbride Golf Club, Ayrshire... Represented Great Britain and Ireland in the 2010 Jacques Leglise Trophy against Europe... Playing in the 2010 Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters, lost in a playoff after firing rounds of 73, 70, 69, 70 (6-under par)... In 2009 he was the Scottish Boys U-16 stroke play champion after rounds of 71, 70, and 71 (1-under par)... Notes he has been playing golf since he was 5 years old and for Scotland Golf since he was 15 years old... Besides golf likes hanging out with friends and watching movies.
