USD: Enters his junior campaign with the Torero golf program... This past season appeared in six tournaments and finished with a stroke average of 76.11 (18 rounds)... Placed 16th at The Farms Collegiate with rounds of 74-74-73 (221)... Closed out the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational with two rounds of 71... During his freshman campaign (2012-13) Skyler competed in six tournaments... He finished with a scoring average of 76.33 over 18 rounds... He tied for 31st overall at The Farms Collegiate Invitational (76-75-80)... His final round 68 at the Bill Cullum Invitational helped the Toreros win the team title.. He finished tied for 37th overall (224; 81-75-68).

HIGH SCHOOL: Finnell came to USD as the California's 14th ranked junior golfer for the 2012 class... Skyler has vast tournament experience including being the first player in the history of the Future Champions Tour to score lower than 130 for a two day event.

PERSONAL: Born on March 8, 1994 in Monterey, California... Parents are Hunter and Lynn Finnell of Carmel, California... Chose USD for high academic standards, beautiful campus, perfect weather and great golf program... Also recruited by SMU, Cal, Stanford, UCLA and Michigan... Notes he enjoys playing and watching all sports... Away from school and golf enjoys spending time at the beach and hanging out with friends, family and his dogs.
