Forrest placed 3rd and had low round (69) on final day

Grant Forrest shot the day's low round (3-under par 69) to move up into third place overall with a three-round total of 218. San Diego State (881) edged out USC (882) for the team title while USC's Anthony Paolucci birdied the 18th hole to earn medalist honors (216) over SDSUs' Riccardo Michelini (217).
The Toreros beat out 30th-ranked BYU (900) and 48th -ranked Cal State Fullerton (906) in the twelve team tournament. Following Forrest (3rd at 218; 75-74-69) for USD was Alex Chiarella (T13 at 224; 75-74-75), Mathias Dahl (T15 at 225; 79-72-74), Taylor Schmidt (T19 at 226; 73-75-78) and Skyler Finnell (32nd at 231; 74-76-81). Will Twitty, playing as an individual, finished 50 th overall at 237 (80-78-79).
The Toreros are off next week and resume play March 10-11 when they and SDSU co-host the San Diego Intercollegiate Classic at the San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, California.
