Toreros complete play at North Ranch Intercollegiate

(Westlake Village, Calif.) - The USD golf team shot a final round team score of 308 to finish tied for 8th overall at 902 (293-301-308) at the 2013 North Ranch Intercollegiate that was played the North Ranch Country Club (par 71; 6,753 yards) in Westlake Village, California. USC, who co-hosted with Pepperdine, won the team title with a three round total of 863 (+11). Rounding out the top-three was BYU (872) and Pepperdine (875) in the twelve-team event. USC's Yi Keun Chang won medalist honors with a two-under par total of 211 (70-68-73). He edged out BYU's Zachary Blair at 212 (70-71-71). USD's top finisher was Mathias Dahl who tied for 13th at 222 (74-75-73).

Dahl was followed by Grant Forrest (T35 at 227; 73-75-79), Taylor Schmidt (T37 at 228; 70-76-82), Alex Chiarella (T41 at 229; 76-75-78) and Linus Vaisanen (65th at 242; 81-83-78). Two Toreros played as individuals outside of team scoring - Skyler Finnell (T35 at 227; 76-77, 74) and Alexis Gemme-Piacente (T61 at 239; 84-81-74).

The Toreros are off until they compete in the San Diego Intercollegiate Classic March 11-12 at the San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, California.
