(Westlake Village, CA) - The 18th-ranked USD men's golf team turned in the best third round team score this afternoon with a 282 to finish 11th overall in the 15-team tournament played at North Ranch Country Club. USD finished second round play this morning with a 292 total, and along with their first round struggles (306), completed the three rounds at 880 (+28). Senior Ben Murray was USD's top finisher as he tied for 14th at 215 (73-70-72).

San Diego State took home the team title (850), while UCLA's Patrick Cantlay won medalist honors with his 207 (67-72-68). Rounding out the top-five for teams was UCLA (852), Oregon (861), Stanford (863) and UC Davis (867).

Following Murray for USD scorers was Alex Ching (T40 at 221; 78-73-70), Gunner Wiebe (T44 at 222; 77-74-71), Scott Brace (T49 at 224; 78-75-71) and Kenneth McCready (T57 at 226; 79-77-70). USD is now off until March 14-15 when they co-host the San Diego Intercollegiates at the San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, California.
