(Tempe, AZ) - The USD men's golf team shot a final round team score of 291 to finish at 860 overall for 6th place in the 2014 ASU Thunderbird Invitational. Host ASU won the team title with their three-round total of 817 (-35). ASU's John Rahm won medalist honors with his three-round total of 192 (62-64--66). USD junior Grant Forrest shot a final round 2-under par 69 and finished tied for 13th at 211 (70-72-69).

Rounding out USD scoring was Joe Carlson (T26 at 215; 69-72-74), Alex Chiarella (T37 at 218; 71-73-74), Taylor Schmidt (T37 at 218; 73-71-74) and Mathias Dahl (T50 at 222; 75-71-76). Mike Bosco, playing as an individual, placed tied for 78th at 234 (77-81-76).

USD will next compete in the Redhawk Invitational at Chambers ay Golf Club in University Place, Washington (April 7-8).
