(Solvang, CA) - The USD golf team finds itself in 5th place (18 teams) after two rounds of the OGIO Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Tournament being hosted by UC Santa Barbara at the Alisal River Course (par 72; 6,830 yards). USD shot a two-round team score of 563 and trails Denver (546), Cal Poly (550), UC Irvine (560), and Oregon State (561).

Top five individuals include Chris Kirk of Cal Poly (131), Jeff Koprivetz of Denver (135), Geoff Gonzalez of Cal Poly (136), Chris Rosenau of Pacific (136) and Matt Grush of UC Santa Barbara (136).

USD's Mike Barry, tied for 6th, is USD's top golfer with a two-round total of 137 (68-69) over the par-72; 6,830 yard Alisal River Course in Solvang, California. Barry is followed by Joe Panzeri (T12 at 138; 66-72), Dale Smith (T35 at 142; 73-69), Bucky Coe (T64 at 147; 73-74) and Darrin Hall (T72 at 148; 75-73). Jake Yount, playing as an individual, is tied for 12th after carding back-to-back 69s.The final round will be played Tuesday morning.
