Day 1 Results Get Acrobat Reader

(Hollister, CA) - The USD golf team finds itself in 7th place after day one of the three-day 54-hole West Coast Conference Championships being played at the San Juan Oaks Golf Club (par 72; 6,712 yards) in Hollister, California. The Toreros shot a team score of 297 (+9) with freshman Grant Forrest leading the way with his 2-under par 70 that currently ties him for 5th overall. Ching is also in the top-10 where he is tied for 10th overall with his even-par 72. Saint Mary's, behind Jonathan De Reye's 65, leads the event after day one with a team score of 274 (-14).

Rounding out USD scoring is Leon Knoll (T31 at 77; +5), Alexis Gemme-Piacente (T34 at 78; +6) and Joe Carlson (T34 at 78; +6). Second round play will begin at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow.
