Grant Forrest wrapped up day one of the NCAA Regionals with a score of 74 (two over par) at Briggs Ranch Golf Course in San Antonio, Tex. He will begin his second round at 8:00 a.m. Friday morning. Bryson Dechambeau of SMU and Julien Brun of TCU are the leaders after shooting a five-under par (67).
After shooting a double-bogey on the first hole, Forrest recovered to shoot an even par on the remaining 17 holes. He was at five-over through the front nine, but shot a three-under on the back nine to finish with a two-over.
Forrest, who is playing as an individual, is tied for 34th (out of 75 golfers) after round one. He will begin his second round at 8:00 a.m. Friday morning, paired with Andrew Kim of Columbia and Martin Simonsen of Texas El-Paso.
