May 17, 2014
Grant Forrest shot a five-over par on the final day of the NCAA Regionals at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, Tex. Forrest finished in a tie for 35th place (out of 75) with an overall score of +6 (222; 74, 71, 77), failing to advance to the NCAA Championships.
Beginning on the tenth hole, Forrest bogeyed two of his first three holes. He then shot an even par on the final six holes of the back nine.
Forrest struggled on the front nine, shooting a bogey on four of the first six holes. He then birdied hole No. 7 before parring the final two holes.
TCU's Julien Brun was the top individual finisher, shooting a ten-under.
By finishing in 35th place, Forrest fails to qualify to the next round. He finished his junior year with three tournament wins and was named WCC Golfer of the Year. Later on this summer, he will be participating in the Palmer Cup after being one of ten Europeans selected.
