(Princeville, HI) - The USD golf team shot a final round team score of 281 (-7) to finish tied for 10th place overall in the three-day, three-round Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational. USD's total of 852 (-12) tied them with East Tennessee State. Cal State Fullerton (822) edged out Louisville for the team title while Robert Geibel won a three-player playoff for medalist honors at 201 (-15). USD junior Grant Forrest was the team's top golfer with his 11th place finish at 8-under par 208 (69-70-69).

USD sophomore Alex Chiarella turned in a solid tournament with a final round 69 today to finish tied for 18th overall at 210 (73-68-69). Rounding out Torero scoring was Mathias Dahl (T52 at 217, 75-70-72), Taylor Schmidt (T72 at 222, 72-77-73) and Joe Carlson (T77 at 223, 78-74-71). Freshman Skyler Finnell, playing as an individual, tied for 68th overall at 221 (79-71-71).

This was USD's final fall tournament. The Toreros will not return to competition until February when they host their tournament - The Farms Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 10-11).
