SAN DIEGO, Calif. – USD golfer Grant Forrest was honored by the San Diego Hall of Champions as one of their amateur stars of the month. This marks the second time this year Forrest has received this award, and the third time in his career.
Forrest, the reigning WCC Golfer of the Year, kicked off June by winning the prestigious St. Andrews Links Trophy. He carded rounds of 66-68-73-71 (-9, 278) and beat out countryman Bradley Neil on the first playoff hole with a 25 foot birdie.
Last weekend Forrest and his European teammates knocked off the U.S. 18.5-11.5 at the Palmer Cup in England. Forrest won his last two rounds of match play to help Europe earn the win.
