SAN DIEGO, Calif.- University of San Diego senior forward Stephen Posa was selected in the fourth round of the Major League Soccer Supplemental Draft on Tuesday by the Los Angeles Galaxy. Posa (San Diego, Calif.) was chosen as the 62nd overall selection in the Supplemental Draft and was one of five selections for the Galaxy in the four-round, 76-pick draft.
Posa concluded his USD career this past fall by taking home second-team All-WCC honors after playing in 18 of USD's 19 matches on the year despite being slowed by injuries. He tallied a total of two goals and three assists on the year. Over his career, Posa recorded six goals and 10 assists as a mainstay in the Torero lineup. He also earned All-WCC second-team honors in 2010 and All-WCC freshman team recognition in 2008.
The Los Angeles Galaxy open their preseason next week before the official MLS season kicks off on March 10th.
