SAN DIEGO, Calif. - University of San Diego senior defender Julian Ringhof was named to the Capital One Academic All-District team on Thursday. Ringhof, a mechanical engineering major, holds a 3.97 GPA. This is the first time he has taken home this honor.

Ringhof (Sexau, Germany) has played in 12 of the team's 14 matches so far this season, starting 11 of them. He scored a goal at Portland on Oct. 11 and added an assist against Loyola Marymount on Oct. 2. Although he has battled some injuries this season, he has been a mainstay in the Torero backfield since transferring to USD last year from Cal State Los Angeles.

Ringhof was named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll last season, as well as being a 2nd team All-WCC performer and a 3rd team NSCAA All-Region honoree.
