• Connor Brandt's Journey to the MLS


    The 2014 West Coast Conference Player of the Year Connor Brandt had always dreamed of playing soccer professionally. After years of dedication and hard work, Brandt was invited to the MLS SuperDraft Combine and selected with the 23rd overall pick by New York City FC.

    Former Torero midfielder Connor Brandt was selected with the 23rd overall pick by New York City FC in the MLS SuperDraft Thursday afternoon. Brandt, who was the 2014 WCC Player of the Year, is the fourth Torero to be selected in the SuperDraft since 2012.

  • Julian Ringhof Named to NSCAA Scholar All-Ameri...


    Senior defender Julian Ringhof was named to the NSCAA Scholar All-American Second Team. The mechanical engineering major, sports a 3.95 GPA and was recently named the WCC's Defensive Player of the Year. Ringhof was already selected to the Capital One Academic All-American Third Team, making him the first Torero to earn an Academic All-American honor since Tyler Conley did in 2002. Ringhof was the only player from the WCC to be honored by the NSCAA.

    The accolades keep coming for seniors Connor Brandt and Julian Ringhof. The NSCAA announced that both players were named to the Far West All-Region Team. Brandt was awarded first team honors and Ringhof was named to the second team.
