• Toreros & Titans Play to 0-0 Draw


    The USD men's soccer team (1-0-1) played Cal State Fullerton (0-1-1) to a 0-0 draw Monday evening at Torero Stadium. In a match that featured nine yellow cards and a red card, the Toreros outshot the Titans 14-8 (11-4 after halftime), but couldn't find the back of the net despite Fullerton playing with a man down for the last 40 minutes.

  • Toreros Cruise to 4-1 Win in Season Opener


    The University of San Diego men's soccer team (1-0-0) kicked off the 2014 season with a dominant 4-1 win over Buffalo (0-1-0) Friday night at Torero Stadium. The Toreros trailed 1-0 at the half, but scored two goals in the first two minutes of the second frame and never looked back. Dave Musambi, a transfer from South Carolina Upstate, scored a pair of goals in his Torero debut.

  • Toreros Down Aztecs 2-1 in Overtime Thriller


    Playing in front of nearly 900 fans, the USD men's soccer team knocked off cross town rival San Diego State 2-1 in extra time Thursday evening at Torero Stadium. After USD was held scoreless for the first 89 minutes, Julian Ringhof scored the equalizer in the 90th minute to force the match to extra time. Just two minutes into the extra period, Michael Turner bent a beautiful corner kick into the back of the net for the dramatic game winner.
