• Connor Brandt Named WCC Player of the Week


    Brandt tallied four points over the weekend, helping the Toreros start out WCC play 2-0-0. The senior midfielder scored the game-winner in the 82nd minute in USD's 2-0 win over Saint Mary's Friday evening. On Sunday, he assisted both Torero goals to help USD come back to knock off Pacific 2-1. Brandt now leads the team in assists (four) and points (12).

  • Toreros Rally for 2-1 win over Pacific


    The USD men's soccer team (6-4-4, 2-0-0) overcame some early adversity on their way to beating Pacific (2-11-0, 0-2-0) 2-1 Sunday afternoon at the Torero Stadium. After giving up an early goal, Thomas Fiskerstrand was given a red card, forcing the Toreros to play with ten men for the final 74 minutes. After USD scored the equalizer in the 25th minute, Kyle Macleod was able to score the game-winning goal in the 76th minute to give USD the 2-1 win.

  • Toreros Shut Out Gaels 2-0


    Fueled by two late goals, the USD men's soccer team (5-4-4, 1-0-0) knocked off Saint Mary's (7-4-2, 0-1-1) 2-0 Friday evening at Torero Stadium. After neither team could score through the first 81 minutes, the Toreros finally found the back of the net in 82nd minute on a Connor Brandt left footer. Just 70 seconds later, Dave Musambi scored on a chip shot to extend the lead to 2-0 USD.

  • Toreros Kick Off WCC Play Friday


    The USD men's soccer team will begin WCC play this weekend. They will host Saint Mary's on Friday at 7:00 p.m. before welcoming Pacific on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
