    Junior defender Patrick Zimmer was named the WCC men's soccer Player of the week after scoring the game-winning goal in the Toreros' 1-0 upset over No. 1 UCLA.

  • USD Knocks Off #1 UCLA in Front of Record Crowd


    Playing in front of a record-breaking crowd of 4,432 fans, the USD men's soccer team (3-2-4) shutout No. 1 UCLA (4-2-2) 1-0 Friday evening at Torero Stadium. Junior defender Patrick Zimmer scored the game-winning goal in the 15th minute off a Darragh Vieyra free kick from the left wing. Friday evening's win marks the fourth time USD has knocked off a No. 1 ranked team and the second time in the past two years (at Cal, Oct 25, 2013).

    The Toreros will be attempting to break their all-time attendance record Friday evening when they host No. 1 UCLA at 7:00 p.m.

  • Toreros Can't Hold Off No. 6 Irvine


    The USD men's soccer team (2-2-4) suffered a tough fought 1-0 extra time loss on the road to No. 6 UC Irvine Sunday evening. After shutting out the Anteaters throughout regulation, UC Irvine was able to find the back of the net for the game-winning goal in the second minute of extra time.
