• Five Toreros Earn Postseason Accolades


    The No. 22 University of San Diego men's tennis team (20-4, 9-0 WCC) swept this year's postseason awards in all categories. The West Coast Conference recognized head coach Brett Masi, Uros Petronijevic, Filip Vittek, Jordan Angus, and Romain Kalaydjian, which was announced on Tuesday afternoon.

    The No. 18 University of San Diego men's tennis team (20-4, 9-0 WCC) get set for the quarterfinals of the West Coast Conference Championships Thursday afternoon at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Cailf. The Toreros, who post an undefeated mark against league opponents for back-to-back seasons, are slated as the top seed.

  • Toreros Complete Perfect Conference Season


    The University of San Diego men's tennis team (20-4, 9-0 WCC) ended their regular season going undefeated against conference opponents for the second season in a row Saturday afternoon at the Outdoor Tennis Courts in Provo, Ut. The Toreros defeated the Brigham Young Cougars (9-17, 3-6 WCC) 4-0. The squad continued to achieve great marks as they reached the highest winning percentage in program history (.833), while also being the first Toreros to stay undefeated against league play for back-to-back seasons.

  • Ponwith Family Named National Tennis Family of ...


    Freshman men's tennis player, James Ponwith, was raised in a household that eats, sleeps, and breathes tennis. The United States Tennis Association recently presented the Ponwith Family of Scottsdale, Ariz. with this year's Ralph W. Westcott USTA Family of the Year Award at the USTA Annual Meeting and Conference, held April 11-13, 2015 in Boca Raton, Fla., alongside other national winners in varying categories.
