NORMAN, Okla. - The No. 37 University of San Diego men's tennis team (11-7, 2-1) suffered a non-conference road loss to 11th ranked Oklahoma 7-0 (12-5) Thursday evening.

The Toreros lost the doubles point after losing at the No. 2 and 3 spots, but Thibaut Visy and Clarke Spinosa grabbed a huge victory over the Sooners' 29th ranked duo of Costin Paval and Dane Webb 8-7 (7-5).

The Toreros struggled in singles against an Oklahoma team that features three ranked players. No. 78 Clarke Spinosa fell to No. 51 Guillermo Alcorta 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 2, which was followed by a 6-4, 6-0 loss for Thibaut Visy at the No. 1 to No. 30 Costin Paval. Axel Alvarez Llames clinched the win for the Sooners with a 7-5, 6-1 victory at the No. 4 over Uros Petronijevic.

The No. 11 Sooners also grabbed singles wins at the No. 6, 3, and 5 spots to claim the 7-0.

The Toreros will return to action back in San Diego where they travel across town to San Diego State for a Wednesday 4:00 p.m. match.
