Houston, TX - The Iowa Hawkeyes dealt the USD Toreros a 4-1 loss in second action at the Rice Invitational. USD jumped out to a 1-0 lead after winning two of the three doubles matches. Dean Jackson and Nils Schive beat Greg Holm and Reinoud Haal 8-5 at No. 2 doubles. Charl Wolmarans and Tamer Antabi beat Christian Bierich and Austen Kauss 9-8 at No. 3 doubles. Iowa beat USD in four singles matches to claim the 4-1 win. Thomas Liversage lost 6-3, 7-5 at No. 1, Chris Coetzee was beat 7-6 (3), 6-1 at No. 3, Jose Munzo lost 7-6 (5), 6-2 at No. 5 and Nils Schive lost 7-5, 6-2 at No. 6. The Toreros will take on Rice tomorrow.
