TULSA, Okla. - Sophomore Uros Petronijeviccontinued his impressive fall season Monday morning in the first round of the ITA All-American Singles Qualifiers where he knocked off Louisville's Sebastian Stiefelmeyer.

After winning the USTA Wildcard Shootout last weekend in the Napa Valley Classic, Petronijevic found himself matched up against the No. 1 seed in the Singles Qualifiers, Louisville's Sebastian Stiefelmeyer. Petronijevic played with the same poise as the previous weekend and won in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 over Stiefelmeyer, who was ranked No. 47 in the ITA preseason singles rankings.

Sophomore Romain Kalaydjian lost a hard-fought battle to New Mexico's Samir Iftikhar, who is ranked No. 115, 6-3, 6-3 Monday afternoon.

Petronijevic will face Notre Dame's Quentin Monaghan in the second round Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.. Monaghan, who is ranked No. 98 defeated Clemson's 68th ranked Hunter Harrington 6-2, 6-2 earlier in the day. Senior Clarke Spinosa qualified for the main draw and will begin play on Wednesday.
